Google Webmaster Tools Verification For WordPress WordPress SEO by Yoast | WP Learning Lab
In this tutorial, You will learn how to verify Your website with Google Webmaster Tools and WordPress SEO by Yoast plugin.
There are a Multitude of plugins to help You check Your web site, I recommend is WordPress SEO by Yoast, because the plugin has several useful Things, You usually need multiple plugins for. Less plugins You have, the faster Your web Site, and maybe more.

So let us verify a website in Google Webmaster Tools. First, we install WordPress SEO by Yoast.
For this plugin to install, log in to Your WordPress dashboard, move the mouse Pointer through Plugins, then click on Add New.
On the next Page, enter “WordPress SEO by Yoast” in the search Bar. The plugin we want, should be the first, in the upper left Corner.
Click the Install Now Button, and then click Enable, once it is installed.
You will see a new Entry named “SEO” on the left, a Menu from Your WordPress dashboard. Open the Menu General option, and then click on the Webmaster Tools Tab. You will see a blank Field next to the Google Search strip, where a special code.
Let us connect You to Google Webmaster Tools to get that special Codes. Go to http://webmaster.google.com then click on the “Connect” Button. You are prompted, log in to Your Google Account. If You don’t have one, You must create one.
After Registering in the Webmaster Tools, You will see a red, Add A Button in the top right. Click on the.
Enter the URL of Your web site in the window that appears, and then click Next.
On this Page You can see the Means for the examination of the site. The recommended Method is to download an HTML File. We are not trying to do it this Way. We will instead, click the Alternatives Button, and then click on the HTML Element radio button.
This is the HTML tag of a random character String of numbers and Letters, the “content” of the parameters. You want to copy the random String from “content” of the parameters. A handy trick, to add to the set of the HTML tag in the URL Bar at the top of Your browser and copy the String.
Once the string of characters copied, You go back to Your WordPress dashboard, and add-in the Google Search Console Field inside of WordPress SEO by Yoast plugin.
Click on the Button “Save Changes”. Once the changes are saved, click on Verify, and if all went well, You should see a successful verification Message.
When You click next, You can see Your Webmaster Tools dashboard, where currently happens. After a few Days, You will see it begin Data. You also want to add a sitemap to Your site to webmaster tools.
